I’m Yana Stelmakh, a professional newborn photographer with more than 9 years of experience. I create soft, elegant portraits of your baby and your family, carefully preserving the tiny details of these first days.
Every newborn session is calm, unhurried and completely guided by your baby. Your baby’s safety and comfort always come first.
The Best Time for Your Newborn Photoshoot
The ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is usually within the first 10–14 days after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curl into those beautiful newborn poses.
I recommend booking your session during pregnancy based on your expected due date. Once your baby arrives, we will confirm the exact date together.

Your Newborn Session
Your newborn session is designed around your baby and your family. We can create several beautifully styled setups for your baby, as well as timeless portraits with Mum, Dad and siblings.
There is never any rush. We allow plenty of time for feeding, changing, cuddling and settling your baby whenever needed.
I will gently guide you throughout the entire session — from choosing colours and outfits for your baby to creating natural and beautiful family portraits.
Newborn Photography Studio in Prague
My cozy newborn photography studio is located in Prague 7 and is fully equipped for newborn and family photography.
The studio is prepared with professional lighting and everything needed for your baby’s session, creating a calm, warm and comfortable environment for both your baby and your family.
You don’t need to worry about bringing special outfits or props for your baby — a carefully selected collection of newborn outfits, wraps, blankets, accessories and props is available in the studio.
Parents and siblings are always welcome to be part of the session, so we can create not only beautiful portraits of your newborn, but also timeless photographs of your family together.
When is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?
The first 10–14 days after birth are usually ideal for classic newborn photography. However, every baby is different, and beautiful newborn portraits can also be created after this period.
How long does a newborn photography session take?
A newborn session usually takes around 2–3 hours. There is plenty of time for feeding, changing, cuddling and settling your baby, so there is never any need to rush.
What should I bring to the newborn session?
Most outfits, wraps, blankets, accessories and props for your baby are provided in my Prague studio. You only need to bring your usual baby essentials for feeding and changing. I will also guide you before the session on what parents and siblings can wear.
Can parents and siblings be included in the photos?
Absolutely. Family portraits are an important part of the newborn experience. Depending on your chosen collection, we can create photographs with Mum, Dad, siblings and your whole family together.
Is newborn photography safe?
Your baby’s safety and comfort always come first. With more than 9 years of newborn photography experience and a medical education, I approach every session with patience, care and close attention to your baby’s individual needs. Every pose is gently adapted to your baby, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing and breaks whenever needed.
What if my baby is older than 14 days?
Don’t worry. It may still be possible to create beautiful newborn portraits with an older baby. The poses and flow of the session may simply be adapted to your baby’s age, alertness and individual needs. Contact me and I will recommend the most suitable option.
